Trusted Tours & Attractions

Last year in the month of March, I went in the Philippine for a summer vacation. I was there together with my daughter and we spent for four months. That was really a long vacation I have ever experienced. I am just lucky that my hubby is very nice to me, he let me visit my family in the Philippine and I left him for that long. But after three months, my hubby followed too. While I was there, I visited a lot of places like the beaches and I ate a lot of local foods.

Both hubby and I love to travel. Just a month ago, we went from Atlanta. There are so many things to do in Atlanta. We visited the World of coke, The Georgia Aquarium and the Six Flags. Our hotel was only located in the downtown area so we are pretty close in the roller coaster. What we only missed is the Stone Mountain. Since Atlanta and my city is only 3 hours drive, we are planning to go back there and do camping.

If you are planning for a vacation, I will recommend Trusted Tours & Attractions for your online travel guides. They provide a lot of information about travels and accommodations. Just like New York City tours, they provide transportation for city tours and other activities that you wanted to visit.

If you want to keep updated about their website, please sign up the Trusted Travels eNewsletter and you may have the chance to win a $150 iTunes gift card. This offer will end on July 31, 2008.

Hot Pandesal

It is a small bread or a roll usually eaten by Filipinos before breakfast meal. This all time favorite bread is frequently paired with coffee. It is best eaten when pandesal is literally dipped on the coffee. Normally in the morning you will hear a vendor selling hot pandesal by yelling PAANDESAL-INIT! PAANDESAL - INIT! (HOT PANDESAL).

Current Big Apple Awards

There’s a recent Big Apple Awards with Mort Zuckerman said “Hope is good for breakfast but not necessarily for supper.” So, what does it mean? Really, makes me think what does it mean? Literally, when we say breakfast, this mean it’s a meal in the morning and supper is a dinner. This quotation is related to Obama’s campaign. As we all know, he is going to run for president of the United States. I think Mort Zuckerman is trying to say that Obama is only good in the beginning but not in the long run. Politics is very controversial issue, if you are interested to find out more about it, please read D S Simon Vlog Views or simply click the preceding link provided above.

Grilled Pork

Inihaw in the Philippines refer to a cut of meat, seafood, vegetable or fruit that is simply seasoned or marinated. It is then placed over a grill with hot coals under it. This is turned on all sides constantly until it is cooked. Barbecue is also a form of inihaw but it is always marinated and highly seasoned before it is grilled. Here in the Philippines, inihaw is so popular that it is not just cooked in the backyard but has moved out to the street corners and as of now it is prepared in commercial centers.

Tomatoes

We all know that tomatoes are good sources of vitamin c which helps the body resistant to infection, have firm gums and sound teeth. It is therefore important to have raw vegetables, green peppers, bananas, cabbage, tomatoes and watermelon in our meals. Of all these, tomatoes is the least expensive. Whenever fried or grilled fish is served see to it that raw tomatoes go with it. Sometimes, we can make salad out of tomatoes and native onions.

80's Movies

Sunday, July 13, 2008

One of my favorite movies was made in 1981, it was the Stuntman. It was about a man on the run from the law. He became a stuntman while evading the law by replacing a stuntman that died on the set of the movie. The director, played by Peter O’toole, put him through many different situations in which he was in fear for his life; but in the end he learned to really appreciate his life through his experience as a stuntman.

Have you ever seen the movie WarGames? This movie was a hit from the beginning. It had everyone hanging on the edge of their seats until the very end. As the game escalated to what seemed like an inevitable conclusion, the end was an amazingly simple but a spectacular averting of the eminent nuclear disaster.

You will get the opportunity to watch this exciting movie with some unseen material this July 24, 2008 in theaters near you. Relive this experience with a loved one. Bring as many people as you can to watch this wonderful movie. It is sure to be a hit once again. It is one of my all time favorite movies.

Homemade Bangus Sardines

There are many brands of sardines nowadays, but if you want sardines that will really fit your taste, you can make sardines using the bangus or milkfish. We first clean the bangus by removing its gills and intestines. Then cut it into serving pieces. One kilo of bangus will yield 6 to 8 pieces. We arrange the bangus pieces in the bottom of pressure cooker. Add all other ingredients like tomato sauce, cooking oil, water, iodized salt, laurel leaves, black pepper corn and chili pepper. We may use corn oil if we intend to keep it in the refrigerator to prevent oil from solidifying. Then we cook it for 45 minutes. There, you have your homemade sardines

Banana Toron

Tuesday, July 1, 2008

Peel and slice the cooking bananas. Then insert a slice of nangka or jackfruit between the sliced bananas. Wrap the banana with lumpia wrapper and fold the two ends. In a moderately hot oil, we fry the toron until it is golden brown. We have to drain the fat and serve it while it¢s still hot so the wrappers are still crunchy. There, you¢ll have an instant merienda.
