On a beautiful, warm January morning, a colleague and I were having breakfast in an outdoor coffee shop at MacRitchie Reservoir Park in Singapore. With a beautiful lake and fresh-scent gardens surrounding us, the setting was quiet, calm, and lovely with a light breeze blowing across the water.
At a nearby table, a young woman sat quietly reading a book. She was absorbed in the next, occasionally looking up to consider what she had read. She never said a word, but her heart and priorities were visible to everyone at that coffee shop. It was a gentle, positive, silent witness.
