Some tips on Cooking

Wednesday, September 24, 2008

I have always enjoyed watching cooking shows. Even if I do not actually cook. And years of this habit has borne fruit – I’ve picked up hundreds of tips and trivia that could probably qualify me a Game Ka Na Ba? contestant.

One of the instructions that professional chefs frequently mention is that if you’re planning to use wine in a recipe, it has to be a wine you actually want to drink. Apparently, a lot of cooks think that because it’s just one of the many ingredients and the alcohol will evaporate anyway, the quality of the wine won’t matter. However, poor-quality wine will produce a poor-quality dish. At least, that’s what the experts say.
