We need 2 cups of rice soaked and ground with 2 and ½ cups of water. The ground rice should have the consistency of a thick batter. Then add 1 and ½ cups of sugar, ½ teaspoon of salt and three teaspoons of baking powder for every cup of mixture. Fill molds at least two thirds full of the mixture and in a steamer, steam for half an hour. It is done when an inserted toothpick comes out dry. Remove from the molds and serve with grated coconut.
