These are simply “galunggong” or poor man’s fish that are deep fried. At first glance, one might say that its dry, for sure it doesn’t taste good because it might be too hard to chew, unlike fish fillet that is soft and easy to chew. But only a few knows that this dish is sooo flavorful to the point that one might eat it up to the bones! This is best eaten by dipping it first in a soy sauce with lemon to add more flavor to the dish. But if you wish to be more classy, you can dip it in a mixture of mayonnaise and catsup.
