My nephew’s doctor does not encourage my sister to switch to alternative medicine such as “hilot”. Accordingly to him, there are sensitive and fragile parts of the body (especially younger bodies) that require immediate care and medical attention when hurt. And that going to hilot might just worsen the child’s condition and can increase his discomfort and pain.
Although many doctors are also open-minded about alternative therapies, there’s probably just one sure way a man of science will agree to “alternative” medicine—if it’s spiritual healing combined with medical science.
