I first encountered this food in a Chinese fine dining resto in the Philippines . And the way I imagined it is that I thought it is a mixture of almond nuts, gelatin and fruits. And because I wanted to eat almonds that time, I ordered one. But much to my surprise, I was so disappointed and frustrated when I saw no almonds at all! The almond was just a flavor! Arggh! It was so stupid of me not to notice the statement “Almond-flavor”. Though I was able to convince myself to eat it so it would not be wasted. I don’t find anything extraordinary about it. Except for the “almond flavor”.
