Inihaw in the Philippines refer to a cut of meat, seafood, vegetable or fruit that is simply seasoned or marinated. It is then placed over a grill with hot coals under it. This is turned on all sides constantly until it is cooked. Barbecue is also a form of inihaw but it is always marinated and highly seasoned before it is grilled. Here in the Philippines, inihaw is so popular that it is not just cooked in the backyard but has moved out to the street corners and as of now it is prepared in commercial centers.
