Bread Pudding

Monday, June 16, 2008

With the soaring prices of bread, it is but natural for us to find ways to make use of leftover breads. One of them is by making bread pudding. Leftover bread must be cut into cubes. In a bowl, soak bread and raisins in a mixture of milk, water, eggs, and sugar for 30 minutes. Then add a little margarine and cubed cheese. Blend in vanilla or lemon extract. Pour into a baking pan top with grated cheese and raisins Bake for one hour over a basin of water to prevent the pudding from burning. There you have something to eat for merienda.

I love bread pudding, but never tried it with cheese either, but I am going to have to give this a try.
